Forest West Garden Club (FWGC)
Provides an opportunity for educational and practical experience in gardening in Houston. This club promotes gardening through awards such as, “Yard of the Month” and three categories of recognition at Christmas time. FWGC supports various beautification projects within the neighborhood. To join or vote a membership fee is paid. The Garden Club is managed by members who have been elected to serve as officers.

Volunteer Organizations

Citizens Patrol Program (CPP)
A program designed and developed by the Houston Police Department (HPD) to help neighborhoods self patrol in order to identify, reduce, and control crime as well as improve overall safety for all residents. The Citizens Patrol Program is regulated by HPD guidelines and managed by volunteer coordinators. Email CPP Coordinators with any problems or to volunteer. All crime incidents are reported to HPD.
