Forest West Community Improvement Association (FWCIA)
The purpose is to determine collect, enforce, manage and expend the maintenance fund and
in general to maintain and promote the values of residential properties and the social
well-being of the residents of Forest West. All property owners subject to a maintenance fee are
members. An annual meeting is held the 1st Tuesday of February each year.

The Association in managed by a group of members who have been elected to serve

Citizens Patrol Program (CPP)
A program designed and developed by the Houston Police Department (HPD) to help
neighborhoods self patrol in order to identify, reduce and control crime as well as improve
overall safety for all residents. Citizens Patrol Program is regulated by HPD guidelines and
managed by volunteer coordinators. Call CPP Coordinators with any problems or to volunteer.
All crime incidents are reported to HPD.
- Block Captains Program (BCP)
A program to provide volunteers (Block Captains) from within Forest West to help
provide a communication link between neighbors within an assigned territory. The
program is managed by a volunteer coordinator. Block Captains retain data sheets
to help reach residents in the event of emergency. They also distribute the
neighborhood newsletter and coordinate an annual National Night Out block party.
